Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced, hands-on Senior Java Developer with deep expertise in the Spring Boot framework. The ideal candidate thrives in complex technology ecosystems and excels at designing, building, and optimizing robust backend solutions. You will play a key technical role, contributing directly to codebases while mentoring peers and collaborating with global development, DevOps, and database teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Develop and optimize integrations with PostgreSQL and Oracle databases.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; participate actively in code reviews.
• Work closely with product managers, QA, DevOps, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.
• Analyze user stories and requirements to produce technical designs that meet both business and infrastructure objectives.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues as a senior technical resource.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical best practices across the team.
• Stay abreast of new technology trends and recommend tools or frameworks that improve efficiency.
 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, OR equivalent relevant work experience.
• 5+ years hands-on experience as a Java Developer, with deep Spring Boot expertise.
• Proficiency with relational databases—PostgreSQL and Oracle experience required.
• Solid command of modern software engineering best practices (unit testing, CI/CD, RESTful API development).
• Exposure to Linux-based systems; Java/Linux stack integration experience preferred.
• Effective communicator, comfortable collaborating with cross-functional, geographically distributed teams.
• Self-motivated problem-solver who enjoys ownership and mentorship within technical teams.
• Previous experience in the banking, payments, or fintech environments is highly desirable.
 

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with C or experience collaborating with mixed Java/C environments.
• Experience working in cloud-native or cloud-agnostic DevOps ecosystems.
• Knowledge of financial or compliance software products.
• Knowledge of global payment systems such as SWIFT is a plus.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an accomplished Engineering Manager to lead and mentor a high-performing technical team spanning Java, C, QA, DevOps, Front-End, and Database specialists. The ideal leader is hands-on (50%+ in code, technical design, and architecture), excels at fostering team health and professional development, and drives world-class software delivery through effective organization and agile best practices. This role is pivotal for maintaining technical excellence, operational effectiveness, and continuous innovation across engineering functions that underpin products used by the world’s top banks and fintech players.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Contribute directly to hands-on development (Java preferred), technical architecture, and critical code reviews (target: minimum 50% hands-on).
• Manage delivery across multiple software domains: backend (Java, C), front-end (Angular/React), QA automation, DevOps, and Database Administration.
• Set priorities, assign resources, and oversee sprint planning and execution to ensure timely, quality software releases.
• Foster strong communication channels across engineering, product, QA, DevOps, and client-facing teams.
• Guide the team in best practices for code quality, security, automation, and agile workflow adoption.
• Contribute to architectural vision and strategy, empowering the team to innovate, scale, and deliver robust systems fit for financial sector needs.
• Act as an escalation point for technical and operational challenges, providing solutions and hands-on support.
• Perform administrative functions (~10%) such as team reporting, hiring/interviewing, onboarding, and performance evaluations.
• Champion a positive culture of continuous improvement, learning, and professional growth within the team.
 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years’ industry experience, including recent hands-on development (Java required) and 2+ years in a technical leadership/management capacity.
• Demonstrated ownership of full software lifecycle delivery in multi-functional engineering teams.
• Proven track record in backend (Java and/or C), front-end (Angular/React), QA automation, DevOps, and Database integration.
• Deep understanding of agile development methodologies and best engineering practices.
• Outstanding organizational and resource management abilities; comfortable balancing coding, leadership, and administrative duties.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; able to energize and align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in fintech, banking software, compliance, or similarly regulated, mission-critical environments is highly desirable.
 

Preferred Attributes:

• Expertise in large-scale, enterprise-grade Java applications.
• Understanding of secure coding practices, software compliance, and regulated industry requirements.
• Knowledge of global payment systems such as SWIFT is a plus.
• Familiarity with integrating mixed-stack development (Java/C), automated testing, continuous integration pipelines, and cloud-native/hybrid technologies.
• Prior experience leading distributed or multicultural technical teams.
